SVG IGF 2025 – October 30

By ISOC SVG  Published On October 26, 2025

St. Vincent and the Grenadines Internet Governance Forum (IGF) – 2025

“The Role of AI in Cybersecurity”

On October 30, 2025, ISOC SVG will host its 7th Internet Governance Forum (IGF) under the global theme: “The Role of AI in Cybersecurity.” This timely conversation will take place at the SDA Mission Conference Room, Old Montrose, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, bringing together national, regional, and global community members, technologists, and policy advocates.

🌐 Why This Theme Matters

Artificial Intelligence is reshaping how we secure the internet. From real-time threat detection to automated response systems, AI offers powerful tools—but also introduces new risks:

  • Bias in security algorithms
  • AI-driven misinformation and phishing
  • Surveillance and privacy erosion

As an Internet Society chapter, we ask: How can AI strengthen and also compromise our digital rights and freedoms?

🌍 A Caribbean Perspective

Small island nations face unique cybersecurity challenges:

  • Limited technical capacity and funding
  • Growing exposure to cloud and IoT vulnerabilities
  • Gaps in national cybersecurity policies

IGF 2025 offers a platform to share regional insights.

📣 Get Involved

We invite members, partners, and digital citizens to join us:

📍 Venue: SDA Mission Conference Room, Old Montrose, St. Vincent and the Grenadines

📅 Date: October 30, 2025

🕒 Time: 8:30AM – 3:00PM

Let’s ensure that AI strengthens—not threatens—the internet we’re building together.
